Roscommon’s minor ladies footballers will be aiming to turn the tables on Sligo when the sides meet in this year’s Connacht Minor B LGFA final on Saturday in Bekan (throw in 2 p.m.).
Sligo have claimed the last three Connacht Minor B titles, defeating Roscommon in all three showpiece events.
The Rossies were memorably defeated in a freetaking contest in 2022 after the game ended 2-9 to 0-15 after extra time.
Meanwhile, in 2023 Sligo prevailed by a point as they downed Roscommon 2-13 to 3-8.
Last year, Roscommon were comprehensively beaten 2-11 to 0-10 in the B final.
Roscommon will be hoping to turn the tables on Sligo after losing out 3-14 to 0-14 during the group stages.
Aidan Main’s side are captained by St. Brigid’s Ciara Walsh while Lilly Murray of St. Dominic’s serves as vice captain.
