Roscommon LGFA have secured a huge boost as the county’s minor team have secured their place in the Connacht ‘A’ final.

Trevor Clohessy's team finished top of the group after they defeated Galway by 0-13 to 0-9 this evening in Glenamaddy. Roscommon have gone unbeaten through the campaign as they defeated Mayo and Leitrim while drawing with Sligo last week.

Roscommon led the contest 0-11 to 0-5 at half time and despite a Galway fightback, they held out for a four point triumph.

They will now face Mayo in the Connacht final with details of that game to be confirmed.
