Roscommon name team for challenge game against Donegal

The Roscommon senior football team for Sunday’s challenge game against Donegal, in aid of North West Hospice, in Ballyshannon has been named.

A number of players who impressed during the recent club football championships will be given a chance to impress manager Davy Burke, including Evan Flynn from Tulsk, Niall Higgins from Elphin, Senan Lambe from Roscommon Gaels and James Fitzpatrick from Oran.

Donegal have named a strong team for Jim McGuinness’ first game back in the hot seat. The starting 15 includes regulars Shune Patton, Brendan McCole, Eoghan Bán Gallagher, Peadar Mogan, Caolan McGonagle, Michael Langan, Ciarán Thompson, Paddy McBrearty, Oisín Gallen and Jamie Brennan.

Proceeds from the game will be shared with North West Hospice. Entry fee is €10 for adults, €5 for OAPs and €5 for students. Tickets can be brought online.
