The winners of Saturday evening’s All-Ireland SFC Group 2 game between Roscommon and Cavan will find out their All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final opponents next Monday morning, it has been confirmed.

The GAA has confirmed that the draw for the preliminary quarter-finals in the senior football championship and the semi-finals of the Tailteann Cup will take place on Monday morning, June 17th, on Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio 1, directly after the 8.30 a.m. news bulletin.

For the senior football championship preliminary quarter-finals, the four second-placed teams from the group stages will be drawn to play at home against the four third-placed teams, subject in the first instance to the avoidance of repeat provincial final pairings and, where possible, repeat pairings from the group stage.

These games will take place over the weekend of June 22nd/23rd.

The Tailteann Cup semi-finals will also take place next weekend. The semi-final draw will see the winners of this weekend’s quarter-finals drawn against each other, subject to the avoidance of repeat pairings from either the provincial championships or the group stages where possible.
