Roscommon hurler Conor Cosgrove has been named as the Nickey Rackard Cup Hurler of the Year.

The Roscommon joint captain was instrumental in ensuring his side defied the odds to defeat Mayo in last year’s final.

Roscommon conceded just two goals in last year’s Nickey Rackard Cup, with Cosgrove, who lined out at centre back instrumental throughout the campaign.

Cosgrove is one of four Roscommon players who have been honoured on the Champion 15 Team of the Year alongside Enda Lawless, Mark Ward and Sean Canning.

The team honours the top performers in this year’s Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard and Lory Meagher competitions.
