Roscommon minor football captain, Dara Curran has been selected in this year's Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year.

Dara Curran from Castlerea St. Kevin's has been selected in this year's Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year.

He was named in the half-forward line, along with seven representatives from All-Ireland winners Tyrone, six from runners-up Kerry and one from Mayo.

It comes following a stellar season from this year's Roscommon minor captain, after he led his side to a narrow victory against Mayo in the Connacht final. Curran netted a late goal to secure a two point win.

He came up with a crucial score again against Louth in the All-Ireland quarter-final, pointing late on in extra-time as Roscommon ran out 1-19 to 2-15 winners.

Curran becomes the first Roscommon player to make the Minor Star Football Team of the Year since Conor Hand in 2020.
