A number of Roscommon players will be involved in this year’s Sigerson Cup semi-finals after the quarter-finals of the competition were decided on Wednesday evening.
Daire Cregg (Boyle) kicked three points as UCD advanced to the last four with a 1-13 to 1-6 victory against the University of Galway at Dangan.

St. Brigid’s duo, Ruaidhrí Fallon and Paul McGrath were part of the University of Galway panel, with Fallon lining out at corner-forward.
UCD will now play the University of Limerick in the last four. The Limerick side, who featured Caelim Keogh (Padraig Pearses), Cian Glennon (St. Faithleach’s) and Darragh Heneghan (Michael Glaveys) on their listed panel, edged out DCU by 0-14 to 1-10. Glennon was one of his side's scorers.
Tomás Crean and Eoin Colleran were part of the DCU panel.
Meanwhile, Oran duo Colin Walsh and James Fitzpatrick featured in Maynooth University’s narrow 0-10 to 0-9 victory against Queen’s University Belfast.
The County Kildare-based side will play Ulster University in the last four who defeated a TU Dublin outfit that named Shane Cunnane and Conor Hand from St. Brigid’s as part of their panel.
