St. Faithleach’s Paddy Neilan will be the man in the middle when Armagh and Monaghan square off in this Sunday’s Ulster final.

Neilan will take charge of the marquee game at St Tiernach's Park, Clones this Sunday at 4.15 p.m. as Armagh aim to win their first provincial title since 2008 while Monaghan will be hoping to lift the Anglo Celt Cup for the first time in 11 years.

The St. Faithleach’s man is no stranger to the big day. Neilan took charge of last year’s Connacht SFC final in Castlebar.

He has refereed the AIB All-Ireland club senior football final between Cuala and Errigal Ciaran, while also having been linesman for the 2024 All-Ireland senior football final between Armagh and Galway.

Neilan was also stand-by referee for the 2022 decider between Kerry and Galway.

He also refereed the All-Ireland U-20 football final between Tyrone and Kerry two years ago.

Neilan took charge of the county senior football final replay between St. Brigid’s and Pádraig Pearses last November.
