Roscommon woman hoping to captain her school to All-Ireland glory

A young Roscommon woman will be hoping to lead her school to All-Ireland glory next week.

Meadhbh Hanley from Michael Glaveys GAA Club is captain of the Dunmore Community School senior ladies' football team that meet St. Columba’s Comprehensive, Glenties, County Donegal in the Lidl All-Ireland LGFA Post-Primary Schools’ C final at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry, on Wednesday, March 20th, at 2 p.m..

Ailbhe Brennan, Amy Deane and Emma Heneghan from the Michael Glaveys club are also part of the panel. 

Barbara Hannon, also from Michael Glaveys, is one of the team’s mentors.

The East Galway school followed up their 1-19 to 1-9 success against St. Louis’, Kiltimagh, in the Connacht final with an equally comfortable 2-18 to 2-7 triumph against Loretto, Kilkenny, in their All-Ireland semi-final.
