Rossies heading for Sigerson Cup final

There will be County Roscommon interest in this year’s Sigerson Cup final after this evening’s semi-finals.

Daire and Oisín Cregg (Boyle) alongside Ben O’Carroll (St. Brigid's) were part of the UCD panel that edged out University of Limerick by 2-12 to 1-14 in Carlow.

Daire Cregg and O’Carroll started for the winners, where they faced fellow Rossies Caelim Keogh (Pádraig Pearses) and Cian Glennon (St. Faithleach's) in the University of Limerick defence. 

Darragh Heneghan (Michael Glaveys) was introduced for the Limerick students in the second half.

In tonight’s other semi-final, University of Maynooth took on Ulster University. Oran duo Colin Walsh and James Fitzpatrick are part of a Maynooth side that are coached by Colin Canny from Creggs.

The Ulster outfit qualified for the final with a 1-13 to 0-11 victory at Inniskeen.
