Rossies help Sligo company capture first All-Ireland Inter-firms football title

St. Michael's duo Mick King and Fiachra Henry who were part of the AbbVie panel that claimed All-Ireland Intermediate Inter-Firms football honours on Thursday evening.
Three players from County Roscommon were part of the AbbVie panel that savoured All-Ireland Intermediate Inter-firms success for the first time in County Cork on Thursday evening.
St. Michael’s duo Fiachra Henry and Mick King alongside Declan McDermott from Kilbride were part of the successful squad that captured AbbVie’s first-ever All-Ireland crown.
Henry captained the Sligo team to their 1-11 to 1-6 success against Boston Scientific from Cork in Bishopstsown.
Both Henry and King were an integral part of St. Michael’s Junior A Football Championship success in 2023, with Henry producing a Player of the Match performance by hitting 2-12 against Clann na nGael in the final at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.
The AbbVie panel also contained Tony Taylor, Shane O’Grady and Kevin Gallagher from Easter Harps in South Sligo alongside goalkeeper Daniel Lyons and Adrian McCann from Shamrock Gaels.
