Rossies savour Freshers football title with DCU
David Neary and Eoin Ward celebrate last night's Freshers A football title with Dublin City University.
There was plenty of County Roscommon involvement with Dublin City University who were crowned Freshers A football champions on Wednesday evening.
Eoin Ward from Fuerty was joint captain of the team that saw off University of Galway, 4-9 to 0-8, at the DCU Sportsgrounds.
David Neary from Strokestown were part of the DCU management team, while his brother Brian was a member of the backroom team.
The University of Galway panel featured Conor Harley (Pádraig Pearses), John Finnerty (Elphin) and Oisín O’Flaherty (Clann na nGael).
