Route to glory revealed in Intermediate and Junior A Championships

Creggs' Ronan Dowd and Strokestown's Timmy Gibbons will face off again after their sides were drawn together in the Ward Bros Intermediate Championship quarter finals
The quarter-final draw for the Ward Bros Intermediate Football Championship and the King & Moffatt Junior A Football Championship has thrown up some intriguing showdowns.
In the Intermediate Championship, Strokestown and Tulsk, many people’s favourites to claim top honours are on the same side of the draw.
There is a repeat of last year’s quarter final as Strokestown prepare to face Creggs.
Meanwhile, Tulsk will take on a Fuerty side who reached last year’s semi final.
The winners of those two quarter finals will face off against each other.
Éire Óg have been drawn to play St. Brigid’s B while St. Michael’s will face Kilmore.
The sides that emerge victorious in those two games will face off in the final four.
In the Junior A Championship, there is a blockbuster quarter final clash between Ballinameen and a Clann na nGael side that have reached the last two county finals.
St. Aidan’s will play a St. Ronan’s side that overcame St. Brigid’s in a play off today.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the draw St. Croan’s will face Kilglass Gaels while Boyle B will take on Western Gaels B.
Earlier on today, Creggs came through their preliminary quarter final with Shannon Gaels 1-14 to 0-10. Ronan Dowd kicked 1-10 as a strong opening half display paved the way for their victory.
Creggs led 1-9 to 0-5 at half time as Ronan Dowd’s 12th minute penalty gave his side the platform they needed to secure a quarter final berth
