Brian Stack will make his first start of the season after being named in the Roscommon team to face Monaghan in Clones on Saturday.
Stack, who has been suffering from a back injury picked up against Scotstown in the All-Ireland club football semi-final last January, is one of two changes to Mark Dowd’s starting 15 from the team that lined out against Tyrone last time out.
As reported earlier, Enda Smith misses out through injury, while Ruaidhrí Fallon has to be content with a place on the bench.
Fuerty wing-back Eoin Ward returns to the side, allowing Colm Neary to be redeployed to the half-forward line where he was so effective against Mayo and Galway.
Monaghan have also named their team where there is a first championship start of the season for Ryan Wylie.
Darragh McElearney returns from suspension, while ace forward Stephen O’Hanlon is also named on the bench.
