The Roscommon senior football panel will have a number of new and returning faces when the action gets underway in over a month’s time, while up to ten players from last year’s panel won’t be involved in 2025.

Ciaráin Murtagh (St. Faithleach’s), Cian McKeon (Boyle), Eddie Nolan (St. Brigid’s) and Shane Killoran (Elphin) have returned to the set-up, while Conor Hand (St. Brigid’s) and Shane McGinley (Strokestown), who were involved last year, will be hoping to become a big part of Davy Burke’s plans in the New Year.

Ben O’Carroll (St. Brigid’s), who missed most of last season through injury, is expected to be integrated back into training over the coming weeks.

New faces among the current panel on the back of impressive club campaigns include Colm Neary (Strokestown), John McManus (Roscommon Gaels), Oisín Cregg (Boyle), Pearse Frost (St. Brigid’s) and Tim Lambe (Roscommon Gaels).

There are up to ten players from last year’s panel that have stepped away for various reasons, including retirement.

These include Tadgh O’Rourke (Tulsk Lord Edwards), Conor Hussey (Michael Glaveys), Adam McDermott (Castlerea St. Kevin’s), Andy Glennon (Michael Glaveys), Cian Connolly (Roscommon Gaels), Colin Walsh (Oran), Colm Lavin (Éire Óg), Eoin McCormack (St. Dominic’s), Jack Duggan (Clonguish), and Luke Glennon (Boyle).

The Pádraig Pearses players have yet to return to the panel following their Connacht final defeat, but they are expected to be back in time for Roscommon’s opening Division Two League game against Down at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park on Sunday, January 26th.
