Fiona Tully’s hopes for a World Wallball Championship title were dashed by a magnificent performance by Martina McMahon in this afternoon’s Ladies’ Singles Open final in Limerick.

The St. Coman’s handballer tried her best, but was simply overpowered by left-hander McMahon who controlled the centre of the court.

Eventually, McMahon prevailed 21-10, 21-8 in a one-sided affair.

Tully will have the chance to make amends in the Doubles final later this evening when she teams up with Ciara Mahon.
