Two Roscommon players in contention for world wallball titles

Two Roscommon players will be vying for world titles in today’s World Wallball Championships finals in Limerick.

St. Coman’s handballer Fiona Tully will meet Martina McMahon in the final of the Ladies’ Open Singles title at 1 p.m..

Tully overcame Eilise McCrory in a pulsating semi-final on Thursday.

Tully has also reached the final of the Ladies’ Open Doubles competition. Alongside Ciara Mahon from Kilkenny, they will play American duo, Suly Ruiz and Melissa Sky later today at 5 p.m.. They overcame Eilise McCrory/Megan McCann 21-7, 17-21, 11-8 in their semi-final.

It’s also a huge day for Alanna Coggeran from Kilglass Handball Club. She teams up with Ava Sweeney in the final of the 19 and under doubles at 2 p.m..

All games are live on Sport TG4.
