Two County Roscommon were among 22 graduates honoured at the LGFA’s Learn to Lead programme in Dublin recently.

Ursula Kilcoyne (St. Faithleach’s) and Celine Fee (St. Dominic’s) graduated from the Coaching and Administration/Governance strands of the programme respectively.

‘Learn to Lead’ — a unique programme that was launched in 2019 – was devised to develop the next generation of female leaders within the LGFA. The programme was delivered by experts in the fields of coaching, officiating, administration and PR/Media.

Over four days, and six evenings, the LGFA examined diverse leadership skills and focused on the skill-sets and techniques required to master each of the four strands.

Six candidates were originally chosen to participate in each strand. The final list of 22 graduates included leading coaches, officials, administrators and players, representing the four provinces.

The 2023/2024 programme commenced on March 25th, 2023, and concluded with the final Leadership Day on Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at the Dublin Bonnington Hotel.

The graduation took place that evening, where proceedings were overseen by LGFA President, Mícheál Naughton; LGFA National Development Manager, Lyn Savage, and LGFA Commercial and Communications Manager, Jackie Cahill.

Marie Coady, PwC Ireland Markets Leader and Global ETF leader, was also present to deliver a keynote address on the evening.
