Roscommon corner forward Caoimhe Lennon was left with mixed emotions after her side draw 2-8 apiece with Antrim on Sunday afternoon.
Lennon, who finished with a personal tally of 2-3, felt that after her late equaliser and the fact her side came from behind on two separate occasions in the second half, a draw was not a disastrous result for Roscommon.
“It could have gone either way. In that instance we are lucky not to lose points. We are lucky to get the point out of it in the end."
Lennon bagged two fine goals with her second coming after her 'solo and go' caught Antrim out.
She admits that rule in particular has rewarded quick thinking and positive play.
“That is the advantage of the solo and go this year. With some quick thinking you can get by defenders. I just got the head down and went and hoped for the best with those goals. I’m delighted."
Lennon insists that Roscommon won't rest on their laurels as they face Down in a crucial away game in two weeks time.
“I am sure this next week coming won’t be much enjoying. We will get the head down again and put in the hard work. A hard week of training this coming week and then prepare for the match against Down the week after."
