WATCH: “It is a huge thing in Four Roads”

They have done it again.

Four Roads claimed their 39th county title on Sunday last as Brian Mannion and Oisín Finneran’s late scores propelled Micheál Kelly’s side to a 1-14 to 2-10 victory over a gutsy St. Dominic’s side.

Despite Four Roads completing a five in a row of county senior titles, in a season which saw them win the Junior Championship, Senior League and Senior Championship, Jack Donnelly states these successes are savoured by everyone associated with the club.

“People will say we have won whatever. A county title is a county title. The Mickey Cunniffe Cup, he was one of our own too. It is a huge thing in Four Roads. To get over the line in the end, it is just some feeling.”

“It is not every day a county title comes around especially five in a row. We will do a bit of celebrating and the ladies won yesterday in the Junior A final. If the lads can win the football next week it will be just some achievement.”
