The game finished 1-11 to 2-8 after extra time before St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s won 2-1 on free kicks.

In front of a large crowd, Kilbride led 1-3 to 0-3 at half time in normal time with Clodagh Spellman’s 25th minute penalty separating the sides.
The home side pushed their lead out to six points after 53 minutes when Sinead Clabby showed her poacher’s instincts to palm to the net.
St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s, who lost the Junior C final last year, showed their mettle as they managed to bag 1-3 without reply. Clodagh Daly’s goal and three Rachel Flynn frees sent the contest to extra time.
Sarah Lee and a Flynn free helped St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s lead by a point at half time in extra time before Tara O’Connor levelled the contest and ensured free kicks were needed to separate the sides.
St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s Leah McCawley slotted her side’s first free kick before Sinead Clabby equalised. In a nerve wracking shootout, Una McGuinness converted the fifth and final free kick to spell unbridled joy for St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s.
