A 13 year old from Kiltoom will compete in the Dublin Horse Show next month.

Sophie Dolan-Harte, won her qualifier in Killossery Lodge after competing in the 153cm Working Hunter Pony class.

She finished top against 58 other showjumpers to qualify for the prestigious event.

Sophie finished first in her qualifier atop ‘Curraghaleen Hazy Match’, an eight year old Fredericksminde Hazy Match who is a home bred Connemara out of the Smokey Duncan mare Shannon Princess.

Sophie and ‘Curraghaleen Hazy Match’ qualified for the Dublin Horse Show last year, competing in the Junior Equitation Class.

Rider are allowed to be 20 years of age and under to compete in the 153cm Working Hunter Pony class.

With Sophie winning her qualifier at age 13, she has shown her class in competing against older and more experienced riders.

The Dublin Horse Show takes place from August 6-10.
