Roscommon handballers Micheál Greene and John Reilly, both of whom play for Lisacul Handball Club, lost out in their All-Ireland U-16 60x30 Softball doubles final.

The pair were defeated by Wexford duo’s Johnny and Jerry Cash 21-1 21-11 last Sunday.

Greene and Reilly produced a gutsy display to reach this final as they beat Tyrone duo Owen Kelly and Dara Conway in a tiebreaker the day before to qualify for a national decider.

The Lisacul Handball Club duo won 11-21 21-10 11-3.

The Roscommon handballers enjoyed a hectic weekend with their semi final held in Loughmacrory, Tyrone on Saturday before they travelled down to Castlebridge, Wexford for the All Ireland final the following day.
