Roscommon senior footballer takes up coaching role

Roscommon goalkeeper, Conor Carroll, has taken up a coaching role with the St. Ciaran’s senior ladies’ football team.
The St. Brigid’s netminder has teamed up with manager and former Roscommon selector, Ger Dowd, and was on the line for Thursday evening’s championship game against Éire Óg in Ballaghaderreen.
His mother, Eithne, is a native of Athleague.
Conor Rabbitte, son of PJ Rabbitte who guided the Roscommon junior ladies’ footballers to All-Ireland glory 25 years ago, is also part of the management ticket.
St. Ciaran’s will play Boyle in this year’s championship quarter-final after winning one and losing two games in Group B.
