Dylan Ruane's 58th minute goal helped Michael Glavey's secure the O'Gara Cup as they overcame St. Dominic's 3-7 to 1-11 at O'Rourke Park, Castlerea, earlier this evening, Friday.
St. Dominic's will be left to rue kicking just a solitary point, that being a Keith Doyle free, from the 39th minute to the finish.
Michael Glavey's kicked just two points in the first 21 minutes of the second half, but a 1-3 without reply, which culminated in Ruane smashing home, helped them edge through this affair.
The opening half saw Michael Glavey's lead by the minimum at the break. Niall and Cathal Heneghan netted and despite three first half points by Jamie Tiernan, Glavey's led by the minimum at the break.
Jamie Tiernan's 39th minute goal helped St. Dominic's lead 1-10 to 2-4 but Michael Glavey's gradually made their move to secure silverware.
