Details of local school’s cup final announced

The Glenamaddy Community School senior boys' soccer squad that will contest Tuesday's National Cup final in Athlone.

A local secondary school’s date with destiny has been confirmed as they eye up national cup glory early next week.

Glenamaddy Community School will play St. Peter’s Community School, Passage West on the 4G pitch at Athlone Town AFC on Tuesday next, February 6th, in the FAI Schools’ John Murphy Senior B National Cup final (U-19, small schools) at 1 p.m..

The team contains players from Glen Celtic, Ballymoe FC and Kilkerrin United who ply their trade in the Roscommon and District Youths and Schoolboys’ League.

St. Croan’s GAA Club has wished its players on the team, Eoin Collins, Conor Kennedy, Eoin Morgan and Alan Conroy, every success in the final.
