St. John's Athletic on course to complete double in Premier Division

St. John's Athletic are on the cusp of retaining their Roscommon and District Football League Premier Division crown. 

The Lecarrow-based outfit host Skyvalley Rovers on Easter Sunday at 2 p.m. in the knowledge that a win or a draw will confirm the club as league champions for the second year in succession.

St. John's secured the title for the first time in the club's history in May 2025 when a dramatic second-half comeback against Moore United resulted in a 5-3 victory, having found themselves 3-0 behind at the interval.

Keith Reynolds' side went on to add a maiden Challenge Cup to the trophy cabinet last season, and they have underlined their credentials as the top team in the league to leave themselves just 90 minutes away from retaining their league crown. 

Kick-off at St. John's Athletic FC, Lecarrow, on Sunday is 2 p.m..
