St. John's Athletic manager, Keith Reynolds, has guided his side to back-to-back Roscommon and District Football League Premier Division crowns.

Keith Reynolds pinpointed his side's combination of fighting spirit and ability on the ball as the cocktail that procured a second Premier Division crown for St. John's Athletic on Sunday afternoon.

The St. John's manager saw his side defeat Skyvalley Rovers 1-0, thanks to Daire Keenan's 19th minute goal, to get the win they needed to make sure league silverware was staying in Lecarrow for another season.

"We're thrilled with the lads. We're very proud of them. It was a really tough game today. Skyvalley made it very hard for us. We had to scrap for every tackle, every inch. It wasn't the prettiest game of football, I'd imagine,  but it was really competitive.

"The lads have been great all season. The dogged competitive matches, they fought so hard in those games. In the games we had to play a bit of ball, we did. So there's a good combination with the fighting spirit and the way we can play football," he lauded.
