WATCH: ‘I’m just very thankful to the girls for welcoming me back in’

Laura Fleming has praised her team-mates for welcoming her back to the Roscommon intermediate football panel.

Fleming rejoined the panel in the last two weeks and played a pivotal role in helping Roscommon record their biggest win of the season — a thoroughly deserved four-point victory against Down in Enfield to reach the quarter-finals of this year’s TG4 LGFA Intermediate Championship.

“The girls have put in so much work, not just this year but down through the years, and they really deserved to get over the line today.

“To be honest, I’m just very thankful to the girls for welcoming me back in. It’s not an easy thing for a girl to walk back in two or three weeks ago, but they welcomed me with open arms.

“It’s not about me, it’s about the girls. They welcomed me back. Only for them I wouldn’t be here,” said the St. Ciaran’s star.
