World Rally Championship driver confirmed for popular local rally
Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy, pictured here competing at the Monte Carlo Rally a few weeks ago, will take part in the Jeremy O’Connor Longford Arms Hotel Stages Rally in early March.
Midland Motor Club will launch the Jeremy O’Connor Longford Arms Hotel Stages Rally on Sunday next, February 9th, in the Longford Arms Hotel on Sunday next at 3 p.m..
A number of rally cars, crews and officials will be on hand to give an overview of the event — all are welcome.
With just four weeks to go until the rally on March 2nd, excitement is building around Longford for this eagerly anticipated event.
The rally is the first round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship. This year will see a record number of entries, including some coming from the UK and the USA.
The rally has the added attraction of a challenger from the World Rally Championship — Motorsport Ireland Academy driver Josh McErlean has been confirmed an early entrant.
Josh competes at the highest level of the sport alongside navigator, Eoin Treacy, on the World Rally Championship circuit in an M-Sport Ford Puma. He recently finished in seventh place at the Monte Carlo Rally.
