Emma Langford to headline Ballagh gig

Folk singer/songwriter Emma Langford takes centre stage at Willowbrook Glamping & Hideaways on June 20th.
Willowbrook Glamping & Hideaways have announced the seventh instalment of their ‘Willowbrook Whispers’ series of intimate indoor concerts.
The show will take place on Friday, June 20th with an 8 p.m. start and will be headlined by acclaimed Limerick singer-songwriter Emma Langford.
The support act on the night will be fellow Limerick woman Triona Horan, who will be playing her very first show in County Roscommon.
The concert series has been steadily building a name for itself over the last 12 months, with acts such as Hot House flowers frontman Liam O’Maonlai and Eurovision song contest winner Charlie McGettigan being two of the most recent artists to sell out the 100-capacity venue.
The series has not only been a big hit in the Ballaghaderreen area, but has given fans of the artists from all around Ireland the opportunity to glamp or camp on site after witnessing these incredibly special performances.
“We are so happy with how everything is going, we are creating an intimate space where these brilliant artists can connect with an audience and showcase their art. The standard of the talent on show has been through the roof and it leads to people having trust in us that the artists we book for the shows will be top notch,” said Tuesday Whitfield, event organiser.
Emma Langford blends folk, traditional and contemporary sounds and styles, offering an insight through her work into Irish folklore, history, and many of life's universal truths. Her much-loved ballad ‘The Winding Way Down to Kells Bay’, and epic anthem ‘Birdsong’ have both topped the Irish charts, and helped solidify her place on the Irish and international music scene.
Last year saw the release of two brand new singles, Boys Will Be Boys (F*** That) and Hunting The Hare, both of which carry strong and unequivocal messages around violence against women, animal welfare, and toxic masculinity.
Tickets to the event are available at €20 from Towey’s Newsagents, Ballaghaderreen, or online from Ticket Tailor at https://buytickets.at/willowbrookwhispers/1668114
