TRAD NIGHT

The monthly trad night in Mulvihill’s was another great night. There was plenty of talent on show, great musicians, and plenty of singing talent in the audience. The musicians who were without their leader Terry McGowan performed very well and there was even a verse of a song from some of them including Jimmy Moore, Patsy Finan, Kevin Igoe Jnr, Michael White and his wife Margaret. There were also great singers in the house, Eamon Teehan form Wexford a former member of The Clipper Carlton Dance Band, Celtic Crew were well represented with Frankie O’ Toole joining the trad group playing the accordion and Richard Thompson rendering his song ‘I wish there was someone to love me’, especially for Bridie Malone who celebrated her 84th birthday recently. Alos showing their talents were Rebecca Flanagan, who stole the show, Cian Finan, Ena Conroy, Mena Doherty and Danny Burke. A most enjoyable night was had by all. Everybody present wished Terry McGowan a speedy recovery. Well done to the ladies committee for providing refreshments.
