Team from Nordson Medical undertake huge clean-up in Boyle

The team from Nordson Medical in Boyle held a Summer Community Impact Event on Friday last.

This involved the entire staff of over 150 team members supporting several local charitable and voluntary organisations.

Activities included: partnering with the Brother of Charity to power wash, landscape, paint and weed around the homes of the service users and the day centre; partnering with the family Life centre on a general clean-up of the grounds around their facility; Pleasure Grounds- railings painted, weeding and path cleaning; Crescent area- railings and metal rubbish bins painted and litter pick; back lands (areas along the river bank)- litter pick and weeding; Shilling Hill- clearing of pathway and drain; Abbey Park- sanding and painting of public benches.

A special thanks to Mandy Toolan, Boyle Tidy Towns who worked with the group to help identify several priority areas that needed attention and the excellent staff of the Tea Rooms who took care of catering the event.
