A design team is being sought to lead the delivery of a major building project at St. Michael’s & St. Patrick’s National School in Cootehall.
The development comprises three elements - the first involves the provision of three pastoral offices/special resource rooms and a universal access toilet.
The second element involves the construction of two Special Educational Needs (SEN) while the third part of the project involves the provision of external SEN facilities, namely the provision of a sensory garden, a secure hard and soft play area and six parking spaces.
On the State’s e-tenders portal, the school’s Board of Management recently issued the invitation to tender for architectural services to lead the development of the facilities.
St Michael’s & St Patrick’s National School is a primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Elphin.
Originally built in 1979, the school consists of six classrooms and a GP hall with an overall floor area of approximately 652 square metres. The school grounds are approximately 1.5 hectares in size.
The latest time and date for return of tenders is 1 p.m. on October 1st.
