The Castlerea & Trien Defibrillator Group invites all community members to an important meeting aimed at establishing a Community First Responder (CFR) Group in the area. The meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday, July 2nd at 7 p.m. in Tully's Hotel. Community First Responders (CFR) are trained volunteers who attend specific emergency calls within their local area. Their primary goal is to reach and provide initial care during life-threatening emergencies in the crucial moments before the ambulance arrives. CFRs are trained to perform CPR, use defibrillators, and provide other essential care to stabilise patients until professional medical help can take over. First responder teams are vital assets in communities across Ireland, operating solely through the dedication of volunteers and supported by the National Ambulance Service.

John McShane, Community Engagement Officer with the National Ambulance Service, will be guest speaker for the evening. He will share insights into the role of CFRs and the impact they can make in our community.

Anyone interested in contributing to the safety and well-being of the community is invited to attend this meeting. Your involvement can make a significant difference in emergency situations.

Looking forward to seeing you at Tully's Hotel on Tuesday, July 2nd. Alternatively, if you cannot make Tuesday night's meeting but are still interested you can contact Susan on 0860740421.
