Hundreds of taxis are driving no faster than 25 kilometres an hour from Conyngham Road, Clontarf and around Dublin Airport for the next two hours.

They are demonstrating in reaction to up to 14 Irish citizens being detained by Israeli forces that are part of the Gaza aid flotilla.

There are reports of major traffic delays in a County Roscommon town this afternoon. It is understood that motorists trying to get through Castlerea are experiencing major delays. There are roadworks taking place on the bridge in Main Street.
