O'Connor finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with her time of 8.23, clocking just outside her lifetime best of 8.21.

The Dundalk woman competes in the Pentathlon and finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles, fourth in the High Jump, and has just completed the shot put. 

The last time Irish athletes were in Japan, the Olympics in 2021 were the focus, with stadiums far from full due to the pandemic.

Kate O'Connor is competing in the Heptathlon.

She finished joined second in the U-15 vault.
