Local school pays tribute to young County Roscommon gymnast
Kate O'Connor who finished joined second in the U-15 vault at the recent Gymnastics Ireland National Series.
A local secondary school has paid tribute to a young gymnast from South Roscommon who won a silver medal at the recent Gymnastics Ireland National Series in the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena.
Kate O’Connor from Kiltoom, a Second Year student at Our Lady’s Bower, Athlone, finished joined second in the U-15 vault.
“Huge achievement Kate. If your work ethic is anything to go by in school, this medal is very well deserved,” said the school in a post on Facebook.
