A Status Yellow rain warning will come into operation across the county early tonight

It includes all of Leinster along with counties Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford

A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for County Roscommon this evening. The warning, issued by Met Éireann earlier today, covers 18 counties, including County Roscommon, and will last until 8 p. m. this evening (Thursday).

Met Éireann said Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford will be affected until midnight tonight

The worst of Storm Kathleen appears to be over, but there is still a status yellow warning in place for three counties while 2,000 homes are still without power

Thursday evening will see scattered showers, with a chance of snow on higher ground, with temperatures of three to six degrees.
