Thunderstorm warning in place for County Roscommon
There will be thunderstorms in parts of County Roscommon this evening (Thursday).
A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for County Roscommon this evening.
The warning, issued by Met Éireann earlier today, covers 18 counties, including County Roscommon, and will last until 8 p.m. this evening (Thursday).
The national forecaster is warning of heavy downpours with thunderstorms and hail.
Motorists are being advised that there may be spot flooding, hazardous travelling conditions and poor visibility.
Temperatures are expected to reach 20c or more over the coming days as settled weather conditions re-establish themselves over the country.
