A new book on Boyle will be launched in King House in the town next week.

‘Boyle Through the Decades, A Historical Walking Trail’ will be launched in King House on Monday, December 18th at 7pm by Rhona McGrath, Arts Officer with Roscommon County Council.

This is the third book from Úna Bhán Tourism, a community tourism organisation based in the town.

Compiled by Eilish Canty and Anna Robertson of Úna Bhán Tourism, with the assistance of many people from the locality, the book takes readers on a trip back in time through the historical streets of Boyle.

History is alive as one walks through the streets of Boyle and the town’s rich heritage is evident at every turn. The walking trail within the book can be followed using the map illustrated by award winning local artist Kyle Fairbanks. An audio version of the book is also available, and one may recognise some very familiar voices from the town of Boyle.

The staff, management, and board of Úna Bhán Tourism are delighted to invite you to King House on Monday, December 18th at 7pm for the launch.

‘Boyle Through the Decades, A Historical Walking Trail’ is exclusively available in Boyle Craft Shop located in the grounds of King House or online from boylecraftshop.com.

For queries contact Úna Bhán Tourism on 071 96 63033.

Úna Bhán Tourism would like to thank Roscommon County Council for making the publication of this book possible through support received under the Decade of Centenaries Programme.
