1300 Roscommon students start State exams this morning

More than 1300 students in County Roscommon will start their State exams this morning.
544 students will commence the Leaving Cert, 51 will begin the Leaving Cert Applied while 724 will sit the Junior Cert exams.
The English paper is first up this morning.
The examinations will run until Tuesday, June 24th for Leaving Certificate students; Thursday, June 12th for Leaving Certificate Applied; and Monday, June 16th for Junior Cycle examinations.
140,457 students across the country will sit the exams, marking the first time the number has exceeded 140,000.
