32 ultra marathon challenge for Zoe Cyran Trust

The marathon challenge for the Zoe Cryan Trust has just gone up a gear.
With more than €5,000 now being raised, Ed Payne will now attempt to run 32 ultra marathons in 32 counties, almost 1,000 miles, in 15 days.
A renowned endurance athlete, Ed will start his running this Sunday with a 50km ultra marathon in County Leitrim and one in County Sligo. The challenge will finish in County Roscommon on October 4th, in what is certain to be a colossal undertaking and a remarkable achievement.
Ed said he is delighted to throw on his runners for Zoe and her family, and he is urging people to come out and share some of the distance with him.
“I will be wearing a tracker and it will make my miles clip past quicker if I have someone to talk to. The more the merrier, I would be delighted to see people,” he told the Herald.
“That is the plan to do it in 15 days but the most important thing is to raise money for a great cause, so if it takes me two months to do it, that won’t bother me. Whatever else we will be having a lot of fun and banter along the way.”
