A man accused of a money-laundering offence has been sent forward to the Circuit Criminal Court.
Idris Olamide (21), with an address at Parc Cluain, Ghamhna, Athlone, County Roscommon, appeared before Judge Bernadette Owens at Athlone District Court where Garda Conor Ryan gave evidence of serving him with the book.
It is alleged that, on various dates between December 20th, 2022, and January 12th, 2023, at AIB, Athlone, he engaged in the possession or using of property that was the proceeds of criminal conduct, namely a sum of €29,700, which was transferred to his bank account.
The full-time student was granted legal aid for his solicitor, Padraig Quinn, and one counsel.
He was returned for trial to the next sittings of Mullingar Circuit Court on November 27th.
