Castlerea swimming pool to open tomorrow for summer season

Castlerea outdoor swimming pool will reopen to the public on Thursday morning, June 11th, marking the start of another season at one of the county’s most popular summer attractions.
The pool has proven a major draw in recent years, with more than 20,000 visitors recorded last season alone.
Following recent upgrades last year, people and families can enjoy enhanced facilities, including a heated toddler pool and an interactive splash zone featuring water jets and tipping buckets.
The heated pool will operate from Wednesday to Saturday with sessions running from 11a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m..
On Sundays, opening hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., with additional adult-only swim sessions scheduled for Friday and Sunday evenings from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m..
The Minister for Rural and Community Development Dara Calleary will be visiting the pool tomorrow evening.
