Senior Gaelic Football

LCC Senior Gaelic footballers had their final group match against Columba College Killucan in Clonbunny pitch recently.

Conditions were ideal for football and Lanesboro took full advantage in the first half, running up a big half-time total.

This set them up to see out the game comfortably in the second half.

Senior students really led by example with Ryan Byrne, Eimhin Farrell, Matthew Heneghan,Conor Lyons,Edgars Veinbergs and Sam Murphy to the fore.Younger panel members rowed in behind and worked hard to secure the win on a final scoreline of Lanesboro 4-15,Killucan 1-5. The team’s next game is a quarter final where they await the winners from group B. Well done to all involved, especially their coaches Mr. O’Dwyer and Mr Mulvey.
