Community information event tomorrow

A community information event is to take place in Dysart tomorrow afternoon.

The event is a collaboration between Dysart/Ballyforan Community Alert and Muintir na Tire. They are inviting members of the community to attend this ‘Community Comeback’ information event, at Dysart Community Centre (Eircode H65H393) from 2 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, May 20th.

At the event, the services and supports for older and senior people in County Roscommon will be showcased. It will also include free health checks, free food, and free advice from over 25 various support agencies. These include An Garda Síochána, Muintir na Tire, ALONE, the HSE, Roscommon County Council, Croí, the RSA, the IFA, Specsavers, Care Direct Alarms, and others All are welcome to attend and to bring a friend. There will be spot prizes and refreshments on the day.

Roscommon County Councillor Emer Kelly encouraged people to attend.

“The event will see stands from various community organisations and services present to show what they offer in the local area,” the independent councillor said. “The event is particularly focused on rural areas, where there may not be as much of an awareness about what people can access. The event is open for everyone to attend in Dysart Community Centre and we invite everyone to attend.”
