Community mourns death of Roscommon man (35) in Canada camping accident

The community of Knockvicar and surrounding areas have been left in shock following the tragic death of 35-year-old Charlie Beirne in a camping accident in Vancouver, Canada on April 17th.
Charlie, a native of Knockvicar, Boyle, Roscommon lived in Chilliwack, Canada.
Many tributes have poured in since his tragic passing.
His former GAA club, St. Michael’s said it was deeply saddened to hear the news of his death.
“Charlie was a talented player and played football for many years. His character lit up every room, and his passing has left our club in shock. Our thoughts are with all of his family at this extremely difficult time,” said the club.
He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken fiancé Taylor and son Shae; his parents, Cathal and Anne Beirne; sisters Kelly (Tim) and Eimhear; Taylor's parents Kristen and Mike Walker,; Taylor's sister Payton (Gavin) and her brother Marcus (Christine); his nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
The Beirne and Walker family said that they appreciate everybody's sympathy, support and understanding at this difficult time.
