Driver hospitalised after County Roscommon road traffic collision
The road remains closed to allow for it to be cleared.
The driver of a car involved in a collision with a lorry near Loughglynn this morning, Wednesday, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the crash which happened on the L1229 at Aghaderry, Loughglynn shortly before 11 a.m. this morning.
The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital (MUH) for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the lorry was taken to MUH as a precaution.
The Ballaghaderreen-Loughglynn road remains closed to allow for it to be cleared.
