County Roscommon recorded one of the hottest temperatures in the country yesterday with the fine weather set to continue.

Yesterday afternoon, the Mount Dillon weather station recorded a high of 23.8 degrees, with the highest temperature being marked in the Phoenix Park.

Today in Connacht, it will be warm and dry with long spells of sunshine, with highest temperatures of 18 to 25 degrees.

Tonight will be dry and mild with a mix of cloud and clear spells. There will be some mist and fog patches too, and lowest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees.

Tomorrow is expected to be another warm day, even very warm for some, with long spells of sunshine. Some mist and fog patches could be seen early in the morning, and highest temperatures of 20 to 28 degrees.
